Flora is the group treasurer. She is 26 years old. She studied up to the third year of high school, and her business is clothing sales. She has three children: two girls and one boy. She sells baby clothes and makes denim jeans. Flora separated from her partner and is now the only financial support for her three children. With her mother's help, she has gone to a lot of trouble in these years to give her children a good start in life. She has been able to overcome the setbacks she's faced during these years. For the past six years, Flora has maD. sales in several towns. She is asking for the loan to buy more clothing. Her customers are the general public. When she asked for the loan, she felt excited and ready to make this new year a successful one. Flora wants this loan to buy clothing and fabric for making jeans. She also hopes to have higher earnings and more customers because of this loan, so she can have a better quality of life for herself and her family.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
