Paustine C. is a 41-year-old single mother supporting four children: Duncan Kiprono 15, Edwin Kiplagat 11, Timothy Kipchumba 10, and Victor Kimutai two. She runs a busines selling milk and green vegetables and also maize farming. She has been in business for three years and earns a monthly income of Kshs 10,400. She is borrowing a loan of Kshs 30,000 to purchase milk, vegetable and maize seeds to plant, and ploughing.
This is Paustine's second loan, having repaid the first one well and on time. Her hope and dream is to be able to purchase a pick-up truck to expand her business and to have additional income for school fees and to improve her family's standard of living.
