Mrs. Sok S., 47, is a widow and lives with her four children in a part of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. To supplement her family income, she works selling chicken at an open-air market, earning up to $10 each day in revenue. One of her children works selling clothes, another is a student and the rest are unemployed. Mrs. Sok S. hopes to use this loan to purchase a motorcycle for one of her children to operate a motor-taxi business. She believes this motorcyle will enable her and her family to have another source of income.
