On September 30, there was a revolt, (best known as “The Black Day of Ecuador”) due to misunderstandings about policy issued. While officials attended to that, citizens took advantage of the fact that there was no police protection, and seized the opportunity to loot businesses in marginal areas. One of those affected was Mayra who was robbed of all of her beauty tools and had to start over with what they left.

Today, she has her local and work tools once again. She has many aspirations and in order to continue her business, she wants to use the loan to buy chairs and cosmetics for her beauty salon. At the present time, she wants to enlarge her business to satisfy the needs of her customers.
