Félix is 54 years old. He is the president of the “La Nueva Esperanza de Corcona” [New Hope of Corona] community bank. He has sold food for more than 25 years. He started as a street vendor out of necessity and because he worried about giving his children an education. Thanks to his hard work and dedication, he has a restaurant in his house (in the community of Corcona). He asked for the loan from EDAPROSPO to buy more merchandise, or ingredients, to prepare food. He does his work with the purpose of creating employment. F.' dream is for all of his children to have a profession and to have the best restaurant in the area where he lives. The members are very grateful for the opportunity of the program. They are serious and responsible at their jobs.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee.
