Ernis K. is an attentive father of two daughters and one son. In accordance with Kyrgyz ancient tradition, Ernis, as the youngest son of his parents, lives with and takes care of his father. Their family is very tight knit, and all members of the family help and support each other. After graduating from transportation college, he started to work at the local police office, where he still works as a security officer.

Salaries in the public sector are low, however, so Ernis decided to start a cattle-breeding business. Using his starting capital in the amount of 10,000 KGS, Ernis bought three milk cows, whose milk Ernis’s wife sells at the local market. By doing so, they are able to provide their children with essential items and to pay for some of their family's living expenses.

Now, in order to increase his profits, Ernis is applying for a loan in the amount of 80,000 KGS ($1,725) to buy two more milk cows and feed for his livestock. In the future, Ernis dreams of establishing his own farm with a large number of cattle.
