This group is chaired by Ni Ketut L.. There are 19 members who are applying for loans for the second time. However, not all members could attend the meeting because they were at Temple for the death of one of their neighbors. As is the habit of the villagers, if one of these people experience grief or a religious ceremony, it is the tradition that they have to perform activities of mutual cooperation to help each other.

This second loan was used to support their efforts in raising pigs. In addition to buying the pigs, the remainder of the loan was used to buy feed. This business is very supportive of the families in economic rural communities. Besides their farming, they could do this enterprise simultaneously. MUK, through loans and training, directs members of the group to further enhance their skills in raising pigs so that they leverage their results. For now, there hasn't been a significant improvement that can be seen, but their knowledge of pig farming has been greatly improved with the provision of training by MUK. Pig farming is the main job they can do to improve their economy.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
