En el cantón Rocafuerte se reúnen cada quince días las socias del Banco Comunal La Unión Hace La Fuerza. Este lugar se lo conoce por sus deliciosos dulces que preparan los lugareños y que son reconocidos en todo el país.

En este lugar encontramos a José Luis L., tiene 30 años de edad, mantiene una relación de un ion libre de la cual tiene una niña de siete años la cual es discapacitada, no puede oír ni hablar, su mujer se dedica a las tares del hogar.

Tiene un pequeño taller de ebanistería en el cual realiza muchas obras como puertas, muebles, sillas, anaqueles y otras productos que el elabora con la madera y que los realiza bajo pedido, dice que lleva siete años con su taller y que gracias a Dios no le ha faltado trabajo, labora de lunes a viernes desde las 8am hasta las 18h00, la materia prima la compra en un depósito de madera en la ciudad de Portoviejo.

Este crédito lo va a utilizar en comprar más madera, pintura, y otros productos para la elaboración de sus obras. Está en el banco comunal hace dos ciclos y le gusta todas las charlas, los créditos etc. Sus sueños son tener un taller mas grande y con maquinarias adecuadas.
