For over ten years, she has operated a doughnut selling business from home. She sells to her neighbors and passersby. Fatuma faces a major challenge of competition from other doughnuts sellers in the market. She hopes to expand her business in the future.
With the Kshs 15,000 loan she wants to purchase wheat flour, cooking fat, yeast and sugar. She decided to join Yehu to access funds to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
