This Kiva borrower is an 18-year-old single man living with his parents in Lebanon. Despite his young age, he has proven to be a successful entrepreneur with his computer shop. He has owned and run this shop for two years. He started with his own computer equipment to perform transcriptions and take advantage of the schools nearby.
Slowly but surely, he began building a large clientele in need of computer services, so he bought more computers in order to meet that demand. Each day he looks for things to add that are of value so that his business can become a big internet café. He has the potential of gaining more customers since he is located near a school where there is a demand for computer services.
Today, he is requesting to borrow $1000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to improve his shop and expand it. He is positive about his business prospects and plans to further expand.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
