Muhtar M. is 45 years old, married and has two children. Muhtar was born to a low-income farmworker’s family and, from early childhood, had engaged in farming. After graduating from college as a drilling foreman, he had to return to his native village in order to take care of his mother, who stayed alone after his father’s death. In his area of the country, cattle breeding is the main activity, that’s why Muhtar decided to engage in livestock breeding also.

He started this business with 9,000 KGS and managed to broaden his business with milk cows, whose milk he and his wife, Shailoogul, sell to the local diary factory. In 2009, Muhtar obtained his first loan for purchasing cattle and repaid it without any delays. Now, Muhtar plans to use this loan of 135,000 KGS to buy cows, which will increase their milk sales. With the revenues, Muhtar wants to pay for a good education for his children.
