Anipa B. is 57 years old and widowed. She was born in a large family of farmers and from early childhood was engaged in looking after cattle. She finished school and because of the limited income of her family she couldn’t continue her studies. Nuruypa got married and worked with her husband as a stock keeper in the local area. Unfortunately, in 1992 her husband died because of cancer and she became the only bread-winner for her family.

In order to find additional means of income, she decided to begin her business of cattle breeding. Due to her vast experience in this activity, Anipa managed to maintain the farm and was able to reconstruct one of the rooms in her house into a small shop with groceries.

Now Anipa is applying for a loan of 80,000 Kyrgyz Soms to buy two cows and sheep. With the revenues, she plans to broaden her business by opening a bigger grocery store. Anipa is an optimistic woman and believes that her tireless efforts will lead her family to a more prosperous life.
