Mwanamisi is a married woman with five children, three of whom attend school while two graduated from school. She owns a house that neither has electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is school fees.
She has operated a cafe business for the past year which she operates from home. Her potential customers are school children, neighbours and passersby. Mwanamisi faces a major challenge of seasonality in her business. She hopes to establish a hotel in the future.
She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business. With the Kshs 20,000 she wants to purchase a sack of rice and a bundle of maize flour.
