Jacqueline
Maman Jackie, as she is known by her friends, has been selling fish for more than ten years (since the age of 15) in the Plateaux market.

She is a woman who masters her business, because she knows its highs and lows. During the period preceding her first loan she had a daily turnover of 25,000fr and now her turnover varies between 25,000 francs and 45,000 francs.

With her next loan she is going to buy her salted fish wholesale from her normal suppliers. Since she manages her stock well, this purchase will allow her to sell for a certain period and see how her business fares during this period. She will not renew her stock until the end of the period and then she will buy: five cartons of sole, five cartons of sea bass and three cartons of cod. She is counting on buying expensive fish in order to sell them during the festive season. In addition to her tuition, she has gained a knowledge of stock management and will be able to go far with the loan she recieves.

She is planning to provide better living conditions for her family.
