Preap S. is a 27-year-old woman, married to Khaim Rithy, age 24, and they currently live in the province of Kompong Chhnang. This couple has one young child and earn a living by planting various crops on their own farmland. She is able to plant the crops at least twice a year by following both rainy and dry seasons.
Preap S. is concerned that she needs to repair her house. Preap S. would like to request a loan which she will use to purchase material for repairing part of her house.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
