Josephine is a married woman with three children, all of whom attend school. She lives in a rental house that has electricity and piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
For over 10 years, she has operated a charcoal-selling business, selling retail and at the market to her neighbors and passersby. Josephine faces a major challenge in the high cost of transportation. She hopes to expand and supply 10 bags of charcoal daily in the future.
With the 40,000 Kenyan shillings, she wants to purchase 40 bags of charcoal for sale. She decided to join Yehu to get loans to expand her business.
