Charlotte is a widowed woman with six children, all of whom graduated from school. She owns a house that has piped water but not electricity. Her greatest monthly expenses are food, clothing and school fees.
For over 40 years, she has operated a tailoring business from home, selling to her neighbors and passersby. Charlotte faces a major challenge of seasonality and competition in her business. She hopes to establish a retail shop in the future.
With the 30,000 Kenyan shillings, she wants to purchase bundles of cloth materials for her tailoring shop. She decided to join Yehu to get financial assistance to boost her business.
