Nasimu N. is 19 years old and lives in the town of Lugazi in the Mukono region of Uganda. She is married and has 1 child. None of her children is currently in school. Nasimu has a business selling clothes. She has been in this business for 2 years.
To help expand her business, Nasimu has requested a loan of 200,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase clothes. With the help of the loan from BRAC, Nasimu hopes to generate greater profits and take care of herself. In the future, Nasimu hopes to expand her business even more.
Nasimu is a member of BRAC’s Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescents (ELA) program, which has helped her prospects for the future by teaching her how to save.
