Eleodora and Juan are natives of the city of Huancavelica. They moved to Huancayo because Juan is a builder and hopes to find work in his field. There were no good work opportunities in Huancavelica.
Eleodora has worked for the last two years selling vegetables in the "Malteria" market in Huancayo. Her work day begins at four in the morning. She selects vegetables to buy at the wholesale market. She takes her purchases to her stall, where she sells them at retail. During the afternoon, she sells boiled corn kernels with cheese and chili pepper in the areas surrounding the market.
