Annet N. is 21 years old and lives in the town of Bugembe, in the Jinja region of Uganda. She is single and has 1 child. One of her children is currently in school. Annet has a business of a library, which she has had for 1 year. She also has a business of car parking.
To help expand her business, Annet has requested a loan of 400,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase video CDs and DVDs. With the help of the loan from BRAC, Annet hopes to generate greater profits and pay school fees. In the future, Annet hopes to study hair dressing. Annet is a member of BRAC’s Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescents (ELA) program, which has helped her prospects for the future by protecting herself.
