Rosa Maria
Mrs Rosa Maria M. is married and lives alone with her husband who works as a builder. Her children are already married and they all live in their own homes. This is why Rosa Maria started her grocery business. She also works in a 'maquiladora' (an assembly plant located on the US-Mexico border) in the evenings. She does this because she says that she hates not doing anything productive. When she found out about the loans which we offer, she applied for one because she would like to expand her grocery store. She is also extending her home because she has a dirt floor and she doesn't want her products to be covered in dust because it looks bad. For this reason, she would like to put down a solid floor as soon as possible and thereby give her neighbors a better impression when they come to buy from her. Also, her home is what her children will inherit in the future.
