This village bank loan is made up of ten people who live in Ta Sou village in Takeo province. All of the members will use their portion of the loan for different purposes to improve their family's lives.

Mrs. Mao S., 55, is the village bank president and has been selected by the other members. She is a farmer who owns a small piece of land to grow both rice and vegetable to sell to support her family. Although she tries to work a lot, she earns little money. So to improve her family's lives, Mrs. Mao Some is seeking for a loan to add more money in purchasing a cow for breeding to start a new business. She is a widow with two children, one of whom is a laborer and the other is a farmer.
