Ella vive en Jiquilisco, en el departamento de Usulután, en donde vive junto a su hijo mayor de edad, el cual le ayuda con el negocio. María posee un comedor, en el cual elabora desayunos y almuerzos, así mismo comercializa jugos, fruta, y golosinas. Desde hace 6 años que ella posee su negocio el cual esta ubicado en la zona de alimentos en el mercado regional de Jiquilisco, en donde sus ventas son muy estables, y las cuales le permiten contar con todo lo necesario para vivir. María solicita un préstamo con el fin de poder comprar mayor cantidad de materia prima para la elaboración de alimentos como: granos básicos, verduras, frutas y otros más, todo con el enorme deseo de aumentar sus ventas.
