Raisa is married with a grown son, Maxim. She is a farming entrepreneur from Kamenka who grows early spring vegetables. Raisa owns four arch greenhouses and is in the process of constructing her fifth one. She decided to try her luck in the greenhouse farming business five years ago. She has already invested 90,000 UAH in this venture. Raisa spends about 25,000 UAH on seeds and polyethylene film every year.
Raisa is seeking a loan of 15,000 UAH to finish the construction of a new greenhouse and buy polyethylene film. She hopes to complete the construction process by the end of the year, which would allow her to plant and grow more tomatoes in the next farming season and thus generate additional income to be re-invested in her greenhouse business.
