The Kiva borrower is a 29-year-old married man living with his wife. He is from Lebanon. He has a lot of experience working with car spare parts. He has owned his own business since 2005. He also sells car oil from his shop. He purchases the car parts from a local commercial center to carry out his work. Today, he is requesting a loan of $1200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to replenish his business tools and purchase additional tools needed. He is working toward opening a bigger store to trade and sell spare parts. He told us that he would like to one day open a commercial center and operate his own business from A to Z. He is very optimistic about his business growth in the coming years.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
