She is a housewife and stays at home doing her household chores. She is a very caring mother who is raising her children very well. She has proved herself as a responsible wife who is always ready to support her husband in every difficult time. She is a mother of three children, a daughter and two sons. Her sons are enrolled in school while her daughter is still very young and has not started to go to school.

Her husband’s name is M. N. and he operates a grocery shop in the market. Her brother-in-law also lives with her family and he runs a motorbike showroom.

Shahida has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her husband’s grocery business. Her husband will invest the loan in purchasing grocery items according to his customers' needs and increase his sales. Shahida is hopeful that through this loan investment her husband’s business will grow and her family’s living standard improve.

She is a new loan applicant of Asasah.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
