The twenty-one people who make up this bank loan group live in Boeng Krum Kraom village in Kandal province. All of the members will use their portion of the loan to improve their businesses. Mr. Yuos S., 60, is the group's president. He is a fisherman while his wife, Mrs. Yan Sorm, owns a general store where she sells groceries to earn money to support her family. They have two children who are seamstresses in a garment factory. Mr. Yuos S. is asking for a loan to buy new fishing nets as his old ones are worn out.
