Reuben Mutuku, 40 years old, is married to Alice, 35, who is a teacher by profession, and together they have one child who is six months old. He lives at Tala and his agrovet business is in the same area.
Reuben has been running his agrovet shop for 5 years and his monthly profit is Kshs 30,000. He was introduced to Kadet by the loan officer in charge of the Tala office. During the time that he has been in this business, his customers have been happy with his services and advice. He has applied for a loan which he intends to use to increase the stock of agro chemicals in his small shop and increase business to be able to supply more customers.
If the loan boosts the business, Reuben intends to have more agrovet shops in and outside Tala, so as to increase his customer base and help them reach him easily. Reuben is a devoted businessman, who believes one day he will have a chain of shops and later grow to be a wholesaler.
