Abdoulaye
Mr. Abdoulaye Mété is a 42-year-old married man who is monogamous.  He has two children and resides in East District, one of the districts of the city of Kolondièba, in the 3rd region (Sikasso), the Republic of Mali.  He dropped out of school in the second cycle of primary school (educational system of Mali).  To earn a living, he was a security guard at Save the Children for thirteen years.  After he was laid off there for economic reasons, he got started in commerce by opening a shop selling various goods at the Kolondièba market.

To increase his capital, Mr. Mété joined the micro-finance institution Soro Yiriwaso loan program and is now on his first loan.  With this loan, he plans to buy 500 kg of sugar, a box of cigarette, two boxes of tea, some sacks of grain, etc.  He plans on his business prospering by varying his goods and making more sales in the days ahead. He expects to make a profit of 45,000 francs CFA per month.  The profits will be invested in his enterprise.

Monsieur Abdoulaye Mété est un homme marié de 42 ans, monogame avec deux enfants et résidant au quartier Est, qui est un des quartiers de la ville de Kolondièba, dans la troisième région (Sikasso) République Mali.
Monsieur Mété a abandonné l’école dès le second cycle de l’enseignement fondamental (Système éducatif Malien). Pour s’insérer dans la vie économique, il fît le gardien à Save the Children pendant treize ans. Après son licenciement pour motif économique par Save, Monsieur Mété se lance dans le commerce en ouvrant une boutique de vente d’articles divers au marché de Kolondièba.
Pour augmenter son capital il adhère au programme crédit de Soro Yiriwaso avec qui il est à son premier prêt.
Avec ce prêt il compte acheter, 500 kg de sucre, un carton de cigarettes, deux cartons de thé, quelques sacs de céréales etc.
Il compte faire prospérer son commerce en faisant varier ses articles pour réaliser un chiffre d’affaire plus élevé dans les moments à venir.
Il compte réaliser un bénéfice de 45.000 FCFA par mois. Le bénéfice sera investi dans l’entreprise.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
