Mary has a business selling charcoal. She has been in this business for 10 years, and she works 6 days out of every week. Mary sells her products at the market, wholesale and retail. Mary has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from MCDT SACCO, which she will use to buy more bags of charcoal.
The main business challenges for Mary include transportation and the rainy season. Her goals and aspirations for her business are to own a delivery van and also to start selling wholesale only.
Mary lives in a home that she owns; she has access to electricity but doesn't have access to piped water. Her major monthly expenses include medication and feeding the family.
