Mourm S., 37, is married and resides with her husband and four children in Kampong Chnang Province, Cambodia, an area known for palm products. S. produces traditional baskets to sell, earning an income of USD 3 per day. Her husband is employed at a factory, earning an income of USD 3.50 per day.
S. has to spend USD 35 on food and USD 20 on other necessary expenses every month. She is requesting a loan of USD 1000 to purchase a motorbike for family use. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This is her fourth loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
