Claudio Xavier
Claudio, age 33, manages a stationery shop. He lives with his wife and daughter in Primavera de Duran, a periurban area on the outskirts of Guayaquil that has a deteriorating ecosystem.

Three years ago, Claudio opened a small stationery shop in the front part of his house. As time passed, he was able to gain more customers. He sells notebooks, sheets of paper, pens, beverages, and other products. Claudio works every day between the hours of 8am and 8pm. When he leaves to go buy inventory, his wife stays behind and manages the shop. One of the complications of having his business in his house is that is a bit difficult to reach his house based on the area where he lives.

This loan will be used to buy cement and blocks so that he can remodel his house and provide more space for his business. In the future, Claudio hopes to finish the construction of his house and have a well-stocked stationery shop.
