Mercedes began selling Avon cosmetics to generate income because her husband abandoned her and their three children. She wants to give her children a good life and provide for their public school education. Mercedes sells makeup, perfumes, crémes, and deodorants by catalog at low cost. She sells these products to acquaintances and neighbors.

In order to increase her inventory, Mercedes will use this loan to buy perfumes, makeup, and crémes for her business. In the future, she hopes to finish the construction of her house and open a store where she can sell Avon products.
