Mrs. Yeu M. is 44-year-old married mother who currently lives in Phnom Penh Capital, in Cambodia Country. She is a local chef. Mrs. Yeu M. is always hired by neighbors to cook meals for their wedding parties and their other ceremonies, while her husband is motor taxi driver around her community in Phnom Penh. The family includes two devoted children, one of whom is single and the other one is married. Mrs. Yen M.’s husband wants to buy a trailer for picking up more customers, but he complains that he doesn't have enough money to make it possible. To solve this problem, Mrs. Yeu M. will use her loan to purchase a trailer to connect with an existing motorbike for her husband's business. Mrs. Yeu M. was not available for the photograph, so her husband is in the photo instead at their house.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
