Hortense Julienne S. O. was born on 12 April 1978 in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. Married to Euphrem Saizonou, Hortense Julienne is the mother of one child who attends school. The couple has another child they look after. They have only been living in the Yénawa neighborhood in Cotonou for one year. Hortense Julienne helps her husband manage the various family expenses thanks to the profits of her business. Hortense Julienne quit school at the secondary level, then devoted herself to the sale of boxes of soap and also boxes of crackers and basic foodstuffs. Hortense Julienne buys her supply at the Gbogbanou market in Cotonou and sells her products in Dantokpa, the international market of Benin. This is the second time that Hortense Julienne has requested a loan from ALIDé. She is looking to increase her working capital and increase her clientele which will allow her to gain more profits.

O. Hortense Julienne S. est née le 12 Avril 1978 à Cotonou, capitale économique du Bénin. Mariée à SAÏZONOU Euphrem, Hortense Julienne est mère d’un enfant qui est scolarisé. Le couple a un autre enfant à leur charge. Il y a juste un an que la famille s’est installée au quartier Yénawa à Cotonou. Hortense Julienne aide son mari à assurer les diverses charges familiales, grâce au revenu de son activité. Hortense Julienne a arrêté l’école au cours secondaire, puis s’est consacrée à la vente de savons en cartons et aussi des biscuits et des produits alimentaires en cartons. Hortense Julienne s’approvisionne au marché Gbogbanou à Cotonou, et vend ses produits à Dantokpa, marché international du Bénin. C’est la deuxième fois que Hortense Julienne sollicite auprès de ALIDé un crédit, en vue d’augmenter son fonds de roulement et d’accroître sa clientèle, ce qui lui permettra de se faire plus de revenus.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000.
