Kenneth Zaddock M. is forty-two years old and is married to a teacher. They have four children aged between twelve and six years old and they hope to give their children a good education through the university level. His business is located in Kakamega. Kakamega is the region in Kenya known for production of sugar cane. It is widely known as the "sugar belt region." He has a motorcycle, which he uses for transport to serve the local people. Besides this business, Kenneth owns a retail shop in which he sells general items. He has been in this business for the last eight years. He says that this business is profitable and his major challenge is that there are many other people in the area doing the same kind of business he is doing, so customers are not loyal, as they have plenty of choices. However, he works very hard from early morning to late evening to keep his business doing well. He is using his loan of 80,000 Kenyan shillings to buy stock of soft drinks to boost his business. He hopes to be a wholesaler in the future. He describes himself as hardworking and visionary.
