Chan S., 24, is married and lives with her husband and a child in Kampong Chnang Province, Cambodia — an area known for palm products. S. is employed in the garment factory, earning an income of USD 3.5 per day. Her husband is a construction worker, earning an income of USD 5 per day. S. has to spend USD 50 on food and USD 10 on other necessary expenses every month. She is requesting a loan of USD 1000 to repair her house.
