Alejandra lives in her own house on Severo Aparicio street in the Nuevo Potosí neighborhood of La Paz with her husband and children. She started sewing when she was very young, originally making "aguayos" (multicolored ponchos) with the help of one of her children.

Then she began to make jackets and sold them to friends and that is how she made herself known in the clothing market. With the funds loaned from Impro, Alejandra bought sewing machines and now makes warm-up suits, jackets, etc. The loan she seeks now is to increase her raw materials and buy another machine as the whole family works in the business now. The client (Alejandra) was interviewed by Aljazeera on Kiva's behalf. In the video produced from the interview one can appreciate Alejandra's work.

Her previous history is good and qualifies Alejandra as a preferred client and she can access a new loan.

Translated from Spanish by Cindy Kendall, Kiva volunteer.

Alejandra re paid 12% of the loan and she is paying on time. She purchased a sewing machine and raw materials and now she increased her production of warm-up suits, jackets and aguayos (the multi colored ponchos) the result of the sales show that Alejandra is making more money than before another factor is that her work is outstanding and that is why she is being succesfull.

The loan is 25% re paid now but don´t expect different news because Alejandra is the type of person that works and pays her debts not a person that has some marketing strategy that is why her situation is the same that we mentioned in the last journal.
