This Kiva borrower is a 20 year old single woman who lives with her parents. She is still attending university to get her certificate in accounting. And, at the same time, she runs a home business; she works as an accountant presenting accounting reports to members of her community and local companies. She is thankful for her business income; it allows her to cooperate with her family to satisfy the heavy expenses.
Today, she is requesting to borrow $800 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase a new laptop instead of her used one, to be able to provide faster reports. In the future, she plans to finish her education, get her certificate, and then develop her business by opening an accounting office.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
