Nerys Amarilis is twenty-six and earns her living running a grocery located in her house. This isn't the first time she has requested a loan, and the loans have benefited her business. She started out more than four years ago. She's responsible for getting her family ahead, and it was through her own initiative that she obtained this lifestyle. Little by little she has improved the business and is getting new clientele by the day. Nerys Amarilis is seeking this loan to purchase basic grains, candy, natural soft drinks, bread, and juices.

Hace más de 4 años que inicio ella tiene la responsabilidad de sacar a su familia adelante, fue por iniciativa propia que logro obtener este medio de vida. Poco a poco es que ella ha mejorado su negocio y además obtiene clientes nuevos cada día. El motivo del crédito es para la compra de granos básicos, golosinas, refrescos naturales, pan y jugos.

Fundación Leon 2000 began operations in 1993 as the first microfinance institution to serve the western part of Nicaragua, a country which continues to be one of the poorest in the western hemisphere. Fundación Leon 2000 works to further the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises through credit services and management, applying the best credit industry practices and technical expertise. Additionally, Fundación Leon manages several business and financial education programs in the community, specifically for young entrepreneurs and at-risk youth. Fundación Leon 2000’s group of experienced and dedicated employees works in 7 offices in Leon, Chinandega, Chichigalpa, Somotillo, Jinotepe, El Sauce, and Nagarote and serves several thousand clients (the majority of whom are women).
