The Kiva borrower is a 42-year-old married man from Lebanon. He has more than twenty years of experience running a car repair shop. He also runs a taxi van transportation business. As is common, most Lebanese family men work two jobs to earn a good income and satisfy the heavy demands of the family.
When he took advantage of his first loan he was thankful for his decision, and he has been a reliable client, paying on time. Today, he is requesting to borrow $1,000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase new tools for his work. In the future, he hopes to continue his work properly and to be able to manage his time between his two businesses.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
