Remedios
Remedios R. is from the village of Palutan. She is 49 years old, widowed, and has two adult children. To make a living, Remedios owns and operates a business raising livestock. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes primarily from raising pigs for fattening and sale. Remedios has been engaged in her business for over 20 years and earns approximately 4,000 PHP when she sells her animals.

In 2006, Remedios joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Remedios has successfully repaid a previous loan of 15,000 PHP from ASKI. Remedios is requesting a new loan of 16,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase baby livestock to raise and sell in the future. This loan will be Remedios's ninth loan from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve and expand her business.
