Marcos
Marcos is 34 years old. He lives with his wife and children in Bolivar in the district of Cajamarca. This is a mountainous region in the northern part of Peru. It is primarily populated by individuals who raise corn.

Behind his house Marcos raises small animals such as ducks and chickens. The animals yield eggs, which Marcos uses to feed his family and sell, and meat when they reach the appropriate size.

Marcos has taken out loans from our institution before. He has always paid them back punctually. Furthermore, he and his family are well known and respected in the zone. Marcos plans to use this loan to purchase additional animals and replenish his stocks of feed. He is thankful for the opportunity to take out a loan at a lower cost due to its financing through Kiva.
