Khadija is a married woman with five children, two of whom attend school while three have graduated. She owns a house that has electricity and piped water.
She has operated her business of selling natural juice, soft drinks and ice blocks for two years. Khadija faces the major challenge of seasonality. During rainy winter seasons the demand for ice blocks and cold drinks is low compared to hot summer seasons. She hopes to be a wholesaler of charcoal in the future.
With the 20,000 KES she wants to repair her refrigerator and purchase a container for storing ice blocks to sell.
She decided to join Yehu because of its good reputation in the society.
