Koitumet K. is a 28 year old farmer and he supports a family of three children. His spouse is Nemuta K. and she works with her husband. Their children are between the ages of one year and ten years old. Koitumet had been farming for the last eight years.

He learned about Kiva's partner, the Kenya Agency for Development of Enterprise and Technology (KADET), from other members in a group already registered with KADET in his area of residence. This will be his second loan which he is planning to spend to prepare land for planting wheat. Wheat has been doing well in her area due to good climatic conditions. He hopes to use the profit from the proceeds of this loan to expand his farming activity from small scale to commercial farming.

Koitumet’s dream is to become a large scale farmer and buy a bigger piece of land for wheat farming. He is a hard working man who is determined to achieve his set goals.
