Elliot is one of the members of the Grupo Hacia el futuro 1, 2, and 3 (Toward the Future Group). They are small-business owners who work selling clothing, natural products, shoes, art, cosmetics, etc. in the city of San Pedro de Macoris, a city famous for its ball players and sugar industry. Their current economic success is dependent upon the Zona Franca, the cement industry, and other smaller operations such as tourism. This group member from Esperanza joined us because he needed to work to get ahead.


Elliot is very excited to receive his third loan through Esperanza Internacional (International Hope) after having satisfactorily repaid his previous loans and taking steps toward growing his business. He has had his business for around six years, and he started it with a small loan when he began to paint and sell his paintings at the Boca Chica beach. He is planning to inveS. his new loan in purchasing cosmetics through a catalog and buying supplies like paint, fabric, and frames to make paintings of all sizes. He is going to use his earnings to start a business selling telephones and create a good business for his future and for his family’s future.

Elliot es uno de los miembros del Grupo Hacia el futuro 1, 2 y 3, son microempresarios dedicados a las ventas de ropa, productos naturales, zapatos, artesanía, Cosmeticos, etc; en la ciudad de San Pedro de Macoris, una ciudad famosa por sus jugadores de pelota y por la industria azucarera, su economía actual depende de la Zona franca, la industria del cemento y otras actividades menores como el turismo. Este asociado de Esperanza comenzó con nosotros porque tenía la necesidad de trabajar para superarse.

Elliot eS.á muy emocionado de recibir su Tercer préstamo en Esperanza Internacional, después de haber pagado satisfactoriamente sus préstamos anteriores y haber dado un paso para el crecimiento de su negocio. El ha tenido su negocio por alrededor de 6 años, el cual inició con un pequeño préstamo que pudo conseguir y comenzo a pintar y vender cuadros en la playa de Boca Chica, eS.á planificando invertir su nuevo préstamo en la compra de productos cosmeticos por catalogo y adquirir materiales como pintura, telas y y marcos para realizar cuadros de todos los tamaños.
