Doracy moved to the US with hopes of replicating the lingerie store that she owned in Brazil. After attempting door to door selling for a time, she was able to save enough money to open her own storefront in 2006. She also expanded her business to include a thriving online shop. She has continued to grow her business to include formal dresses which she sells most of during graduation season.

This is Doracy’s fifth loan with ACCION USA. She used her previous loan to move her business to a better location which greatly improved her business. With her new loan she wants to purchase more merchandise to prepare for the Christmas season. This is her busiest season and she wants to be fully stocked for the holiday rush.

Moving forward, Doracy hopes to continue to grow her business and eventually open a second store and perhaps move into a mall. Her goal for this upcoming year is to see her daughter graduate from college.
