Jopeth Jay L. is from the town of Sto. Niño. He is 21 years old. He raises pigs to earn a living. He had to stop going to school because of financial difficulties in his family. Now he is happy to say that because of his business raising pigs, he is able to continue his college education. He also started farming. He plants and harvests rice crops for sale. He says it is a challenge to manage work and school time but he is determined to finish college and find a job so he can continue to help his family.
Jopeth Jay joined CEVI to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Jopeth Jay has successfully repaid a previous loan from CEVI. Jopeth Jay is requesting a new loan of 15,000 PHP (Philippine pesos) which will be used to purchase farm supplies, four piglets, and to repair his pig pen. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to pay for his tuition fees.
