Alcides R. is a native of the city of Ybycui, and specifically from the San Francisco neighborhood. He's been married for seven years to Gladys Olmedo Gimenez, with whom he has one son.

Alcides began selling telephone cards for cell phones. Later, seeing his clients' need to speak with their relatives, friends and others throughout the country, he installed a telephone booth, which has been very successful. He also recently set up internet access, which is very popular and attracts many clients. Occasionally, there are more customers than there are machines.

Looking to expand his business and thereby his earnings, Alcides came to our office requesting a loan in order to be able to buy more computers. He extends thanks to the Foundation for the authorized loan with which he will be able to expand his business and buy more machines.
