Walquiris is one of the members of the Grupo La Buena Nueva 1, 2, y 3 (The Good New Group 1, 2, and 3), located in Los Alcarrizos, a growing community on the outskirts of the Santo Domingo province, north of the city. It's an industrial area with a large population. The group's main activities are selling clothes, shoes, cosmetics, and bread, etc. Walquiris is a young businesswoman who lives with her husband and son. She tells us that her greatest challenge is finishing college and her favorite activitiy is studying.

Walquiris is very excited to receive her ninth loan with Kiva partner Esperanza Internacional, after having satisfactorily paid off her earlier loans, and with each one made a step toward growing her business. She has had her business for about four years, which she started because of her intitiative to make money and be useful. Plans are to use her new loan to purchase a flower mixer or processer. She makes breads and sponge cakes, and she is a baker. She plans to use her earnings to purchase a refrigerator. Her dream is to become an educator, which is why she wants to finish college.

Walquiris es una de los miembro del Grupo La Buena nueva 1, 2 y 3, localizado en os Alcarrizos, una creciente comunidad situada a las afueras provincia de Santo Domingo, hacia el norte de la ciudad, es una zona industrial y con una gran poblacion. Sus actividades principales son las ventas de ropa, zapatos, cosmeticos y panaderia, etc. Walquiris es una joven empresaria, que vive junto a su esposo y un hijo. Nos dice que su reto o desafío más difícil es terminar su carrera universitaria y su actividad favorita es estudiar.

Walquiris está muy emocionada de recibir su noveno préstamo en Esperanza Internacional, después de haber pagado satisfactoriamente sus préstamos anteriores y en cada uno haber dado un paso para el crecimiento de su negocio. Ella ha tenido su negocio por alrededor de 4 años, el cual inició por su iniciativa de generar ingresos y ser util. Está planificando invertir su nuevo préstamo en la compra de una maquina para amasar harina, o procesadora, ella elabora panes y biscochos, y se dedica al comercio de panaderia. Planea utilizar sus ganancias para comprar una nevera. Su sueño es poder convertirse en una educadora, por esa razon desea terminar sus estudios universitarios.
